Lincoln Navigator: Delivering Ultimate Performance and Comfort

People who are shopping in the large SUV segment tend to have a very specific set of needs. Clearly, they want to accommodate a crowd. And because the more passengers you have along for the ride, the more complicated it can become to keep everyone happy, they likely want entertainment and connectivity features that are plentiful and easy to use. Lots of passengers tend to come with lots of gear, so ample cargo space is important. And comfort? That's a given. While large SUVs aren't known for being especially fuel efficient, solid mpg numbers are an attractive bonus.

When you start to compare the most popular large SUVs on the market with an eye toward these particular criteria, you're left with a few that tick all the boxes-but one rises to the top, excelling in all the areas that are most important to drivers of these road warriors.

The Lincoln Navigator offers three rows of spacious, comfortable seating for up to eight people. Technology and connectivity features are comprehensive and cutting edge. Anything your passengers choose to lug along will fit easily within the Navigator's cavernous cargo space. The ride is smooth and gentle, and the fuel-economy numbers are good for this class.

In fact, it's hard to name anything this SUV doesn't do exceptionally well. That's perhaps not so surprising, considering it's a Lincoln.

But really, the only way to get a true sense of everything the Navigator has to offer is with a test drive. When you visit Kinsel Lincoln, we'll put you in the driver's seat so that you can get some hands-on experience with this incredible vehicle. If you're not won over by the comfort and luxury of the cabin, the advanced technology, and the powerful and cushy driving dynamics, we'll be surprised-but we'll also introduce you to the rest of our remarkable inventory, where your perfect vehicle awaits!

A Short History Lesson on the Lincoln Navigator

The Lincoln Navigator was introduced in 1998 and marked Lincoln's first foray into truck/SUV territory. Based on the popular Ford Expedition, the Navigator was powered by a 5.4L, SOHC V8 engine with 230hp and offered a host of prime amenities.

Revisions over the next several years updated technology features, adding a GPS system, parking sensors, hands-free cellphone tech, and more. The early 2000s added more optional features and enhanced safety systems, while 2007 debuted a new body style with a larger chrome grille, redesigned taillights, and power-folding third-row seating.

Leather upholstery became standard in 2010, and new offerings included a DVD entertainment system. The Navigator has continually kept its technology current as each new model year improves upon the last, a trend we see continuing into the distant future of this luxury full-size SUV.
